5.2 Interactive Map

Click any RMS zone polygon to view a comparison hydrograph of every monitoring well inside that zone (Section 5.3 below). Polygons are colored by Management Area (North, South, Chico). The 17 wells designated as 2022 GWL RMS in the GSP are shown as larger blue circles; supplemental monitoring wells are smaller gray dots.

5.3 Polygon Hydrograph & Well Detail

Comparison hydrograph of all wells within the selected RMS zone polygon. For each 2022 GWL RMS well in the polygon, the GSP's per-well MT, MO, and IM-2027 threshold lines are drawn (labeled by State Well Number). Drought periods (1991–93, 2012–15, 2020–22) are shaded in orange.

Nested completions: some monitoring sites have multiple wells at one location screened at different depths (e.g., the four CWSCH wells in Chico). On the map, those sites appear as a single marker with a count badge. In the table below, look for the orange Nested ×N tag next to the well name. The hydrograph plots each completion separately so you can compare shallow vs. deep aquifer response.

5.4 Representativeness Comparison

For each test well in the polygon, paired same-month water-level readings are plotted against the 2022 GWL RMS well's reading for the same month. Points falling close to the dashed 1:1 line indicate the RMS well is representative of that test well; scatter away from the line shows greater deviation. Each trace's legend label includes the number of paired observations (n) and the Pearson R² (when n ≥ 5). If a polygon has more than one RMS well (Chico has five), use the dropdown to switch which RMS is the reference.
